Veteran payments and fintech product leader will boost OSV’s payments capabilities as it expands beyond its HCM foundation

DALLAS — August 4, 2026 — OneSource Virtual (OSV) today announced that Sarah Owen is joining the company as its new chief product officer, effective August 3, 2026. Owen has two decades of experience leading product teams in fintech, SaaS, and payments. That background complements OSV’s deep HCM and Workday expertise.

“Sarah knows inbound and outbound payments better than almost anyone,” said John Bax, CEO of OneSource Virtual. “That kind of depth is rare, and it's exactly what we need as payments become a bigger part of how we serve our customers.”

Most recently, Owen was CPO at One Inc, the largest insurance payments network in the US. She led the expansion of One Inc's product into workers' compensation and life insurance and launched escrow premium pay. During her tenure, the company's annual processed payment volume grew from $23 billion in 2021 to $140 billion in 2026.

Before that, she held product leadership and general manager roles at Global Payments, Vantiv, Heartland Payment Systems, and First Data. At each, she ran large product lines, owned their budgets and results, modernized old platforms, and built new products in payments, digital engagement, loyalty, mobile commerce, and embedded finance.

Owen bases her decisions on customer needs, market realities, and measurable outcomes. She has extensive experience developing product models, clarifying priorities and ownership, and collaborating across departments — from product and engineering to operations and go-to-market teams.

“I’m thrilled to be joining OSV,” Owen said. “The team has already built payment capabilities that customers rely on every day. My focus now is to help them build on that momentum and shape what comes next in payments.”

Owen succeeds Carl Madaffari, who held both the CPO and CMO roles. The move splits what had been a combined CPO/CMO role, reflecting the growing scope of OSV's product organization as payments become a larger part of the business. Carl Madaffari will continue as CMO.

Owen is based in Atlanta and is active in the product and women's leadership communities, including Women in Product, The Product Leader Summit, and Chief. Beyond product strategy, she's focused on developing the next generation of product leaders and on how AI is reshaping the discipline.
