From the beginning, our work with Wayne-Sanderson Farms has been built on collaboration. As the third-largest poultry producer in the U.S., the company has more than 27,000 employees across 23 facilities in the Southeast. With so many team members in multiple states, the company needed help with open enrollment. Whataburger has come a long way in its 75-plus years. What started as a single store in Corpus Christi, Texas, in 1950 has grown into a beloved fast-food chain with over 1,130 stores across 17 states. But as anyone who works in HR, payroll, or finance knows, that kind of growth brings challenges. Processing payroll taxes for more than 43,000 employees internally is complex and expensive. But for Whataburger, that was only the start. They routinely come to the table already thinking about what’s next.
