Last week, Workday Rising EMEA brought approximately 4,000 members of the global Workday community together at the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre from December 10 – 12 for three days of learning, networking, and celebration.
As always, OneSource Virtual (OSV) was there sharing insights, showcasing solutions, and connecting with Workday customers and partners. From our booth on the expo floor to a thought-provoking theater session with Ordnance Survey, our presence reflected our ongoing commitment to empowering businesses to focus on what matters.
On each day of the conference, attendees had a chance to come together for a brand-new keynote session centered on a different topic.
Workday CEO Carl Eschenbach hosted the Welcome Keynote on day one. His presentation focused on artificial intelligence (AI), recruitment, and talent optimization, highlighting how tools like Workday Extend and Built on Workday are empowering employees and partners to expand Workday’s capabilities. He also talked about overcoming adversity with the help of special guest Anthony Joshua, a two-time Unified World Heavyweight Champion and Olympic gold medalist. In recognition of his achievements in sports, Joshua was honored with the Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2018.
Day two’s Innovation Keynote, featuring Sayan Chakraborty, Workday’s president of product and technology, focused on how the company is leveraging AI through Workday Illuminate to help customers thrive. This new initiative, announced in September, combines generative AI, a new AI assistant, and end-to-end process orchestration to accelerate manual tasks and transform entire business processes, empowering employees to focus on uniquely human work.
The final keynote on day three, the Community Keynote, featured success stories from global leaders on how their organizations are using Workday to transform their workplaces.
As with the U.S. conference in September, the EMEA conference also featured plenty of sessions, panels, and workshops to allow people to network and learn together. Attendees could choose to follow curated tracks based on specific industries, including:
In addition to showcasing our UKI payroll solutions on the expo floor, a big highlight for OSV this year was our 30-minute theater session, “Go Beyond Getting It Right: Payroll as a Strategic Partner.” Led by EMEA Payroll Services Director Phil O’Reilly and featuring our customer Ordnance Survey, this session explored how outsourcing can help HR and payroll reduce their compliance risks, increase efficiency, and drive a workforce strategy that transforms the business.
The year is nearly over, but there’s plenty more on the horizon. As Danny Rice, Workday’s UK product lead, and Gavin Hutchinson, OSV’s EMEA service delivery director, revealed during our recent OSVConnects+ London event, Workday and OSV both plan to expand into Ireland in 2025.
This expansion comes as both companies seek to build on their accomplishments from this year and enable more businesses to step into the future of work.
Before we close, we want to thank our team, customers, and partners for making 2024 a success. From expanding our solutions to forging meaningful connections at events like Workday Rising and OSVConnects+, this year was a testament to one of our core values: we are a team. Together, we’ll continue to reimagine what’s possible and create a brighter future of work.
